SCRED Programs

  • Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC): Consider joining SEAC if you're passionate about supporting parent/guardian involvement in special education decision making.
  • Together We Can: Early Childhood Family Support Coaches work with families of children aged 0-kindergarten entrance age.
  • We 'R' Able: A community education program that serves individuals with disabilities (ages 14 and up).
  • Student Programs: SCRED operates several specialized school sites. Students with specific needs are placed into these programs by IEP team decision. 

Community Organizations

  • PACER Center An organization that provides advocacy supports to families as they work with schools to provide a free and appropriate public education to students.
  • The Arc of Minnesota The Arc provides services to people with disabilities and their families, such as information and advocacy.
  • Family Pathways An organization that runs thrift stores, food shelves, crisis support, and other social and community supports.
  • Special Olympics Minnesota Year-round sports training and competition for children with intellectual disabilities.
  • Special Needs Summer Camps An updated list of summer camps in Minnesota for children with special needs.
  • Crowning Achievements For ages 16 and up, Crowning Achievements hosts fun events each month to foster confidence, independence, social skills, and friendships.
