Chisago Lakes Education Center (CLEC)

CLEC is St. Croix River Education District (SCRED) program, and it serves students from the SCRED member districts. Families do not directly enroll into CLEC — all students attending CLEC have an Individualized Educational Program (IEP), and placement in CLEC is an IEP team decision. CLEC includes two distinct programs that each meet unique student needs:
- Pathway to Change (PTC): The PTC program is designed for students in grades K-12 who demonstrate significant behavioral needs. PTC builds students’ fluency in a complex repertoire of social and emotional skills and their capacity to generalize these skills across settings.
- Skillbuilding Opportunities for Academic Resiliency (SOAR): The SOAR program support students who demonstrate significant communication and behavioral needs. SOAR increases students’ independence and skills in the areas of functional communication and self-regulation.
