Kurzweil helps students to read and write — mainly via text-to-speech technology, but the program has additional features.
Students can use Kurzweil via the website or by using a variety of apps and extensions.
Through SCRED, all special education and general education staff and students have access to Kurzweil and can use it to access web-based or printed materials.
Open the Kurzweil website and use your school Google account* to sign in (tutorial).
*All secondary teachers' and students' emails in SCRED member districts are preloaded into the Kurzweil systems. All must use school generated emails to access the systems. If you are a teacher at the elementary level or another program that would like access for your students, please reach out to a member of the SCRED Assistive Technology Committee.
