We partner with our member districts to develop and maintain their full MTSS frameworks ("Multi-Tiered System of Supports"). Special education is a critical part of SCRED's work, but it is only one component. We also support our districts in their continuous improvement of universal/core instruction and supports, interventions (e.g., ADSIS, Title), data systems, and sustainable infrastructure.

To accomplish this, "SCREDsters" provide direct student service, student- and system-level consultation, program administration, professional learning, and much more. We oversee several student and community programs, and we also provide support to the TRIO Wolf Creek Charter School.

Our Resource Websites

 resource websites

Our district website (this website) is designed to serve the needs of a vast and varied group of stakeholders. The majority of our resources and guidance are found here, including information about the MTSS framework, assessment and data-based decision making, our databases (e.g., FastBridge, eduCLIMBER, etc.), and much more.

The Case Manager Resources ↗️ website was established in 2018. Think of CMR as "due process central." It's essentially a very sophisticated special education manual. CMR's focus is purely on supporting special educators with their due process paperwork (e.g., writing IEPs and evaluations) and associated tasks (e.g., facilitating IEP meetings).

The cross-district Social Emotional Learning (SEL) website ↗️ was established in the spring of 2020 as a "virtual calming room" shared between our member districts. It contains parent- and student-facing resources and is linked directly from our member districts' websites. It is also the home of the Be Good People SEL curriculum, which was developed by SCRED staff and is now used internationally.
